Made in Uttarakhand, India by a sole proprietorship registered in India (MSME, Udyam registered).
Why we exist
Every business deserves a 24/7 front desk.
Customers message when it suits them: late at night, on a Sunday, in the middle of your busiest hour. When nobody replies, they move on to whoever answers first. Hiring someone to sit on WhatsApp all day is not realistic for most businesses, and basic auto-replies just say "we'll get back to you".
We built kafal.ai so that every business, whatever it sells, can have its own AI assistant that answers properly: with the real prices, timings and answers of that business, in whatever language the customer writes, at any hour. Our slogan says it in three words: Never miss an enquiry.
The name
What is a kafal?
The kafal (Myrica esculenta, the box myrtle) is a small, deep-red wild berry that grows in the Himalayan hills of Uttarakhand. It ripens for a few weeks each summer, it is sweet, tart and loved by everyone who grew up here, and it is the kind of thing people walk a long way for.
We are from these hills, and we wanted a name that is ours. Our mascot, Berry Bot, is a kafal berry too: one leaf, a little torch on its antenna so it can keep answering through the night, and a smile for every customer.
